The Griffin Museum of Photography
I'm thrilled to announce that my work, submitted from my ongoing personal project, has been selected for the upcoming exhibition, "Gathering Place | A Family Album," organized by The Griffin Museum of Photography. The exhibition will be hosted at their satellite location, Griffin at the Jenks Center in Winchester, Massachusetts, USA from October 1, 2025, to January 3, 2026.
This exhibition invites lens-based artists to explore the rituals, warmth, and complexities of coming together—celebrating intimate spaces and shared traditions that define family, whether chosen or inherited. It's an honor to be part of this meaningful exploration of connection and community.
I'm excited to collaborate with the curatorial team and look forward to seeing my work displayed at The Jenks Center.
I am also delighted to share that the print for the exhibition will be prepared by the legendary photographic lab Digital Silver Imaging from Belmont, MA.
One memory, preserved in four identical photographs.
It's 1989: my grandmother, my mother, my two aunts, and me—age eight—gathered around the table, celebrating my aunt's names day. We pose for the camera, our gestures quietly revealing the closeness and intimacy we shared.
Each of them kept a print of this image, a testament to how much these gatherings meant. In 2022, I lost the last two of them - my aunt (her hand resting on my arm), and my mother (standing on the right). Now, I hold all four photographs that once belonged to them, along with the memory they treasured
