Intervention to the Exhibition Love

“Love: An Anthropology of Simulated Affect” was an international exhibition presented from May 26–28, 2026 at the Bastille Design Center in Paris, curated by Danila Tkačenko and Slavika Veselinović. The project explored contemporary representations of emotion, intimacy, and love through photography, performance, and contemporary art.

The list of participating artists was displayed at the entrance to the exhibition, next to Orlan's work, presented as a large-scale photographic image of a vagina suspended like a curtain. Visitors entered the exhibition by passing through an opening in the image.

On the artists' list, my surname appeared as "Aga uczakowska," with the initial letter "Ł" omitted. Using a red marker, I corrected the spelling by adding the missing letter and drew two small hearts beside my name.

This small intervention combined a practical correction with a personal gesture, leaving a visible trace at the threshold of the exhibition space.
