I am StrudelMediaLive "Return” Scholarship receipment

I am happy to announce that thanks to Heather Mattera Scholarship Fund I will be able to attend Fall StrudelMediaLive class “Reorienting the Landscape” with Erin O’Flynn @erin_oflynn .

My photobook Râsu'-plânsu' documents how residents of standardized, Ceaușescu-era apartment blocks in Romania personalized their surroundings - small, human interventions against a rigid, imposed landscape. This class speaks directly to that ongoing interest: the relationship between people, systems, and the places they inhabit.

I'm currently based back in Poland after years away, and I want to turn that same attention toward my own country - to look at it as landscape again, not just as home. A student review on StrudelMediaLive website mentioned that Erin's presentations included a lot of unfamiliar, thought-provoking material, and that's exactly the kind of push I'm looking for: new references, new ways of reading a place I thought I already knew. I belive that the class “Reorienting the Landscape” with Erin O’Flynn will help me in my ongoing project.
