Czartak after 100 years break

Czartak was a short-lived yet influential literary magazine and artistic group from the 1920s, rooted in the Beskid Mountains and deeply inspired by local culture, nature, and folklore. It gathered poets who experimented with new forms while shaping a distinct regional identity in interwar Poland.

Now, a century later, Bogusław Bachorczyk is bringing back the long-lost fourth issue of Czartak, continuing its legacy in a contemporary context and he invited me to publish my photographs in it.

The magazine is created in the form of a handmade zine. It will most likely be presented publicly during Krakers Krakow Art Week, an annual event dedicated to showcasing contemporary art across the city.
