Bjorn Nillson, also known as Fodor13, is a cultural scientist specializing in media and communication, based in Stockholm.

His photographic practice begins with movement and observation. While moving through the world, Bjorn discovers places that spark an image-sometimes writing them down, sometimes simply remembering them -before returning later to create the photograph. At other times, images emerge in his mind while reading, listening to music, or walking. These ideas are often first drawn in a notebook and then reenacted in front of the camera.

Fodor13 searches for images that feel both universal and deeply personal - images that he himself has not encountered before. His work is driven by a desire to move beyond photography as something observed from a distance, something to be intellectually understood rather than physically felt.

For Bjorn, the challenge is to create images that can communicate something beyond their immediate context: photographs that are personal in origin, but open enough for others to find their own meaning and emotion within them.

Alongside his personal projects, Fodor13 works as a freelance photographer, primarily within portraiture and editorial photography.
