Photographs are from my series “Râsu’-plânsul” – “laughing through tears”. It’s a Romanian expression that reflects the bittersweet contradictions of daily life. In Bucharest, this tension is visible on the streets and in communist-era apartment blocks, where people reshaped uniform spaces into personal, lived-in homes and streets.
