My photo selected for Mask exhibition

The photograph from my ongoing personal project has been selected by juror Bootsy Holler for the Masks Online Exhibition organized by The SE Center for Photography.
Such an honor — I’ve long admired Bootsy’s “Contaminated” and “Visitor” projects!

I hold a portrait of my mother as a mask. I was her last caregiver, and she was the last of my family. She passed away three years ago, after a long journey through dementia… I rarely go to visit her grave, but I see her daily - in my gestures, my voice, my face.
