George Slade is a writer and visual artist living in Minneapolis. His photography considers public and private expressions of energy and curiosity. Recently he has been fascinated by political activism in the Twin Cities and publishing zines.

He has received grant support from two Minnesota-based foundations—the Metro Regional Arts Council and the Minnesota State Arts Board—and the Andy Warhol Foundation/Creative Capital Arts Writers Award program. His published works include My Father's Shirts (2021) and Looking Homeward (2023).
