Bio

I can quote Tilda Swinton - I am not a big believer of identity, I think we can change during our life. I was born in Poland in catholic family but I am agnostic and I feel more European or the citizen of the World than Polish.

lived in Istanbul, Turkey (freelance photographer) for 2 years and >8 years in Bucharest (first freelancing for NGOs - Ovidiu Rom, Save The Children, later 9-6 job and my projects on side)

began as a staff photographer for a local newspaper before working internationally and developing long-term projects

participated in masterclasses with Stanley Greene (NOOR) in Italy and Christopher Morris (VII) in New York, USA

After years abroad, I returned to Poland I became my mother’s and aunt caregiver - it’s a period that I had a break from photography to support my family, and myself. I find this period very important to my photography and development.

in 2025 I returned to photography, and I had pleasure to be featured by Der Greif, and participate in seven exhibitions within just three months (Bucharest Photofest, Abuja Photofestival, Slideshow in Berlin, gorup exhibitions at SouthEast Center for Photography (jury Bootsy Holler) and The Griffin Museum of Photography.

Artist Statement

I see photography as a way to preserve memory and invite questions rather than provide answers.

I value imperfections and a sense of the primitive—qualities that carry emotional truth. As Greene once said, “If we keep it primitive, then we will get the iconic image… being perfect is boring.”.

I draw inspiration from my love of Brâncuși’s work (he was a sculptor but also talented photographer) - his devotion to form and light.

After years of caregiving and living abroad I feel that I came back to photography with different approach and different maturity.
